This Memorial Day weekend has been so nice to just hang out with Matthew and Olive and really just try and live in the moment. Over the last few months, Matthew and I have been watching a ten part tv series called "The Pacific". It is about WWII and the war with the Japanese. The series was very real and very well done. It focused on the lives a few soldiers in their years fighting in the Pacific. I love to read and watch the stories of amazing men and women who are so honorable and sacrifice their lives, if necessary, for their ideals. I have been feeling so grateful for what I have and for my husband and child and for God giving me this wonderful life. This is one of my favorite scriptures and one I have been thinking about a lot lately and helps me remember to live each day knowing that my life is not my own but is on loan to me. I feel the weight of the responsibility for me to live as I know God would have me live.
"I say unto you that if ye should serve him who has created you from the beginning, and is preserving you from day to day, by lending you breath, that ye may live and move and do according to your own will, and even supporting you from one moment to another—I say, if ye should serve him with all your whole souls yet ye would be unprofitable servants."
